Meet Michelle Gemanaru
Michelle is a doctoral-level diagnostic practicum student from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, pursuing her doctorate in clinical psychology with a concentration in child and adolescent psychology. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biopsychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, in 2022. While there, she worked as a research assistant in the Mayer Lab for Research in Learning and Instruction, focusing on educational gaming platforms and learning. After graduation, Michelle worked as a behavioral interventionist at a school for children with autism and other developmental disabilities for a year and a half. Because of this, she is passionate about early intervention strategies and increasing mental health awareness and accessibility to children from immigrant backgrounds. Michelle looks forward to working with children of all backgrounds and aiding them with the necessary tools to lead a successful life.
